You can watch a movie with your mind's eye while reading, and anyone who erotically appreciates the movements of a tormented body will find it arousing, especially if the body in question should be male.

Attention! The next paragraph is intended for people who have already read the story!

The last part ends as if Gaius & Co. will break their promise of giving Sam a quicker death after his considerable achievement. I would find it nice when there would be a 5th or even 6th part. More would be probably too much.

Addendum of 2020-06-20: As far as my knowledge of Roman crucifixions goes, executioners didn't torture their victims further on the cross, just had the guarded so that nobody would do anything with the body, but there are two points to consider: I may be wrong, and, more importantly, the story would be about four or five parts shorter, wouldn't it? :)
